At the end of July, the Plant Protection Department organized an important forum to promote the development of the pesticide production industry in Vietnam. The event brought together government agencies, experts, and domestic and foreign businesses to share experiences, exchange information, and discuss new directions in research, production, and application of pesticides.
The workshop pointed out many limitations of Vietnam's current pesticide production industry. Specifically, although there are 96 large-scale production facilities, the industry still relies on the import of active ingredients, with only one small-scale domestic active ingredient production facility. Product quality still needs to be improved, and production technology needs to be more modern.
The workshop focused on the opportunities and challenges facing Vietnam's plant protection industry. Moreover, international and domestic experts also shared valuable insights into the global development trends of pesticides.
