The active ingredient Emamectin Benzoate

Emamectin Benzoate is a natural substance produced by the soil bacterium Streptomyces Avermitilis. Therefore, industrial production primarily relies on microbial fermentation, leveraging the natural capabilities of this bacterium.

Emamectin Benzoate works by attacking the insect nervous system. When pests come into contact with or ingest treated foliage, they become paralyzed and die quickly. Moreover, the active ingredient has a long residual effect on leaf surfaces, ensuring long-lasting pest control.

Widely used in the United States and Canada, Emamectin Benzoate is particularly effective in controlling borers. Furthermore, this active ingredient can control a wide range of other pests such as leaf miners, fire ants, beetles, and more on various crops including fruits, vegetables, and grains.

Emamectin Benzoate is often formulated as water-dispersible granules (WG), soluble granules (SG), emulsifiable concentrates (EC), and liquid formulations with the main active ingredients being Emamectin B1a Benzoate and Emamectin B1b Benzoate.

Emamectin Benzoate is very versatile and can be combined with many other active ingredients to enhance pest control efficacy. Additionally, this active ingredient is particularly effective against many pests, including those that have developed resistance to other pesticides. However, the efficacy of Emamectin Benzoate may decrease at low temperatures or when exposed to sunlight for extended periods.
