International Festival of Vietnam’s Rice Industry - Hau Giang 2023 with the theme "Green rice, healthy living" takes place in Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang Province from December 11th to 15th, 2023, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in coordination with the People's Committee of Hau Giang province.
With a series of events at the Festival and a series of international seminars on the rice industry such as the Vietnam’s Rice Road Exhibition, demonstration of mechanized sowing technology and circular agriculture models from straw,... or the conference on responsible and sustainable development of Vietnam's rice value chain...
The “Vietnam’s Rice Road” exhibition is one of the festival's highlights, including images ranging from historic rice farming recollections to modern practices. The show is held on a one-kilometer-long road along the Xa No canal.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Festival is expected not only to create conditions for our country to introduce its potential, production strengths, rice grain quality and create momentum for trade promotion, but also open opportunities for localities, businesses, and farmers to have access to new production knowledge, new technologies, scientific advances and modern techniques applied in digital transformation of agriculture in general and rice production in particular; meeting the requirements of digitalizing the agricultural sector and building smart and sustainable new rural areas. In addition, it creates opportunities for Vietnam to send a message to the world about a responsible country for food safety. Thus, Vietnam will create solid and breakthrough steps for its rice industry, meeting the requirements of new international trends.
